Sadie Beck is a rising freshman at Northwestern University and one of Cram Crew’s very own. She joined our team as the Brand Ambassador intern after completing Cram Crew’s College Readiness program. Ahead, get to know Sadie and hear what she's taking from her time with Cram Crew to Evanston, Illinois this fall.

A Little on Sadie

Sadie is a Dallas native who graduated from Greenhill in 2026. While attending Greenhill, Sadie was the captain of the cheer team and the yearbook editor. She also co-founded the Bilingual Bookshelf, which supports ESL students in under-resourced communities.

Sadie was introduced to Cram Crew through a trusted connection. Her mom heard about Cram Crew from a mutual friend, and before long, Sadie found herself sitting down with Deepak, President of Cram Crew. "He helped me come up with a college list and strategize my course schedule and activities to fit my college resume," she shares. What followed was a two-year College Readiness journey that would ultimately land her at her dream university.

On Sadie's College Readiness Journey

Like many students, Sadie found the Common App essay to be the most daunting part of the process. Supplemental essays felt manageable because the questions gave her something specific to respond to, but capturing her entire self in 650 words was a different challenge entirely. "I probably wrote around 10 different outlines before I eventually chose one," she shares.

Once she worked with her Consultant to research and brainstorm concepts for each prompt, she began writing her Common App and supplemental essays the summer before senior year. By just two weeks into the school year, her essays were nearly finished. "The comfort in knowing they were written alleviated so much stress," she says. "I watched as some of my other classmates struggled to balance writing their essays with the schoolwork we were assigned, and I was so grateful I had started early." Her Cram Crew Consultant, Anna, was a consistent presence throughout the writing and refining process, helping her tell her story in a way that felt authentic, compelling, and tailored to Northwestern.

Sadie applied to 15 schools with Cram Crew, but had her eyes set on Northwestern University, where she knew she wanted to apply Early Decision. After touring the campus, she fell in love with its location and sense of community, but more importantly, its unique course structure with a Quarter academic calendar which would give her the flexible coursework load she was looking for.

In mid-December, Sadie opened her Early Decision acceptance letter from Northwestern. She called Deepak and Anna right away. "It was so much fun and extremely rewarding to share that news with the people who helped me get there," she reflects.

On Joining the Cram Crew Team

After going through the process as a student, Sadie wanted to stay connected with Cram Crew and gain work experience before starting college. She joined the team this spring as a Brand Ambassador Intern, where she creates content for the Cram Crew Instagram, handles outreach emails, and researches opportunities in the Dallas area.

Being on the other side has expanded her understanding of everything Cram Crew offers. "My knowledge was limited to College Readiness," she admits. "After meeting with Adriel Morado, Cram Crew’s Brand Development Team Lead & Communications Specialist, I learned more about the Test Prep and Academic Support services. There's so much more than I realized!"

Sadie's Advice for Current Cram Crew Students

For students just beginning their journeys, Sadie has two clear pieces of advice: meet with your consultant consistently and give yourself real deadlines. "The more effort you put in, the more helpful your consultant is," she says. And as for the essays, start writing them before you think you need to. You’ll be relieved to have a lighter workload once the school year begins.

Sadie Beck will be attending Northwestern University in the fall, where she will be double majoring in Learning and Organizational Change and Economics.
